Foreign exchange marketNBU allows hryvnia fluctuation to UAH 16/ US $1
The National Bank of Ukraine considers appropriate the exchange rate at UAH 15.30-15.50/ US $1 and allows its fluctuation to UAH 16/ US $1 in the near future, reported financial source with reference to the outcome of the meeting of NBU Governor Valeriya Hontareva with the representatives of the largest banks on Monday.
“NBU announced the lack of improvement of the situation on the financial market of Ukraine. The completion of forming the Cabinet has not brought the expected improvement,” he said.
According to the source, NBU admitted during the meeting that the outflow of deposits in the banking system continued and amounted to UAH 3.3 bn (US $ 200 mn) against the background of simultaneous increase of outflow funds from the current accounts of the legal entities.
