LPR and DPR announced beginning of withdrawal of heavy equipment from the front line

The self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics announced the beginning of the withdrawal of heavy equipment from the front line, reported the LPR. According to LPR, the authorities of the republics of Donbas began the process of withdrawal of artillery from the line of the combat actions without waiting for the approval of the date of the next meeting in Minsk (Belarus). Specifically, artillery with a caliber of over 100 mm and multiple launch rocket systems are being withdrawn.

A 30-km security zone will appear in Donbas under the agreement’s conditions signed by the sides of the military conflict during the negotiations in Minsk on September 20. According to the information, the LPR hopes that Ukraine will also implement the agreement on the withdrawal of equipment.

As Capital reported, on December 9, the ATO forces began the regime of ceasefire.
