Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is the only country which advocates the preservation of the Donbas as part of Ukraine after the conflict is settled.
“Now we are the only ones who achieve this by insisting on an implementation of the obligation which I spoke about – the implementation of the constitutional reform with the participation of all oblasts and all political forces of Ukraine,” he said in an interview for Interfax agency.
At that, it is necessary to create for the south-east of Ukraine “the possibility to meet their financial needs thanks to the agreement with the center on tax issues, so they can speak their language, so they can celebrate their anniversaries, but not those which were imposed by one part of the country”, according to the Russian minister.
