The largest landline operator Ukrtelecom has written off UAH 0.23 bn (US $13.91 mn) in 2014 due to the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas and annexation of Crimea by Russia, Former Chairman of the company Oleksandr Barynov, who recently moved to its Supervisory Board and will be responsible for the operator’s strategy, said in an interview for Capital.
«We are in a very difficult situation. We did not feel any support from the government. Overall, we wrote off UAH 230 mn (depreciation of inventories, accounts receivable) due to Crimea and the ATO zone,» he said.
