Tax decentralization will allow local government agencies to increase local budgets by up to UAH 40 billion, Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.
"The government has given a 'fishing rod' to local agencies; however, they will have to realize all the possibilities related to taxation by themselves... The innovations will help to bring an additional UAH 40 billion," Yatsenyuk said during a teleconference with regional authorities on decentralization issues, which was held in Kyiv on Tuesday.
