Deposit Guarantee Fund introduces temporary administration at Bank Ukoopspilka

The Individuals’ Deposit Guarantee Fund has introduced temporary administration at Bank Ukoopspilka (Kyiv) from January 23 to April 22, according to the fund’s website.

According to the report, the decision was approved by order No. 39 of the NBU board dated January 22, 2015 on referring to the bank as insolvent.

Dmytro Kashuta was appointed fund manager at the bank.

As reported, in February 2014 it was announced that the Central Union of Consumer Societies of Ukraine (Ukoopspilka) declined its stake in Bank Ukoopspilka to 9.9951% from 87.5447%. Terra Food company became a stockholder in the bank.

According to the National Bank, on October 1, 2014 in terms of total assets Bank Ukoopspilka ranked 126th (UAH 539.715 million) among the 166 operating Ukrainian banks.
