Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated he had passed checks under the law of Ukraine on lustration successfully and demanded other officials pass a similar procedure.
"The prime minister of Ukraine had passed lustration checks under the relevant law of Ukraine for a month of work. Therefore I demand that you pass the same test and disclose information which is to be made public," Yatseniuk said at a Cabinet meeting.
He said that at the request of the State Fiscal Service during 20 days he had been seeking documents on income, dividends, loans, the availability of movable and immovable property, all passive income and expenditure for 14 years.
"If checks are held for all officials, as they were applied to me, I think this is the guarantee the law will work," Yatseniuk said.
