Ukraine is 96th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report 2015 among 189 countries, climbing by 16 positions in a year, reads the report.
According to the report, the progress was achieved thanks to two Doing Business indicators: registering property and taxation, where the jump was 29 and 49 positions respectively, to 59th and 108th.
The authors of the ranking put Ukraine seven positions down in registration of companies (76th) and by three positions in connection to power grids and getting credits (185th and 17th respectively).
In construction permitting and protecting minority shareholders Ukraine also lost two positions, falling to 70th and 109th, while in international trade Ukraine is on the 154th position, in resolving insolvency — 142nd and in enforcing contracts — 43rd.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday set a task to retain the pace this year in easing doing business to climb several positions more in a year.
