A possible deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine isn't on the agenda, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says.
"The UN Security Council hasn't considered the deployment of a peacekeeping mission yet. The question addressed was related to the situation in Ukraine and civilian casualties," Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
"If we speak about a peacekeeping mission, we must be aware that this is actually the creation of a frozen conflict zone. How necessary is this for Ukraine now? I cannot tell you that this issue seems necessary for us today," she said.
Kyiv insists on the fulfillment of the Minsk accords, she added.
