government budgetUAH 48 bn spent on repayment of Ukraine’s national debt in six months
As of July 1, 2014, during the first six months of the year Ukraine spent on repayment of its government debt UAH 47.979 bn of the UAH 65.444 bn envisaged for this period in the general fund of the national budget, according to data of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine published on its website.
Of this amount UAH 31.513 bn was spent for internal debt and UAH 16.466 bn on external debt.
At that, the debt service expenses in January-June amounted to UAH 20.846 bn of the UAH 21.123 bn planned for this period. Of them, UAH 14.412 bn was spent on internal debt and UAH 6.434 bn on external debt.
As a reminder, as of April 30, 2014, the government and guaranteed by the government debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 743.577 bn or US $65.217 bn.
