Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta said at a briefing that he expected Gross Domestic Product to decrease by 3-4 percentage points in 2014 as the result of the situation in Eastern Ukraine.
”There was a general forecast of 3% decrease of GDP in March. Now one of the pessimistic forecasts is decrease of GDP by 7%. I think these 3-4% are the predicted outcome of the situation in the East of Ukraine,” he said.
As a reminder, the official government's forecast for the GDP decrease is 3%.
