The government has instructed the Healthcare Ministry and the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Utility Services to study expediency of reducing air temperature in the apartments by 2 degrees during the heating season, reported the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak.
“Healthcare Ministry and Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Utility Services have been given one month to study advisability of reducing the air temperature standard in the apartments by 2 degrees during the heating season. I would like to stress that these are the recommendations to the ministries, not the final decision on temperature change. Under current conditions, we should research all possible ways for optimization of using natural gas,” Semerak noted.
