The real wage in Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol) decreased by 8.9% in July 2014 compared with July 2013 and by 2.3% compared with the previous month, informed the State Statistics Service.
The real wage in July decreased in Donetsk (by 31.2%), Luhansk (by 27.5%), Volyn (by 7.7%), Lviv (by 7.2%), Chernivtsi (by 6.1%) and Rivne (by 6%) oblasts compared with the previous month, according to the SSS.
Decrease of the real wage in Kyiv amounted to 4.9% in July 2014 compared with July 2013.
Compared with June 2014, the average wage of the full-time employees in Ukraine decreased by 1.8% amounting to UAH 3,537 (US $256) in July, while in June it amounted to UAH 3,601 (US $261), noted the service.
In the reported month the highest level of wages was registered in Kyiv at UAH 5,639 (US $408), the lowest – in Ternopil oblast (UAH 2,732 or US $198). The previous month the real wage in Donetsk oblast amounted to UAH 2,980 (US $216), in Luhansk oblast – UAH 2,875 (US $208), while in June 2014 – UAH 3,996 (US $289) and UAH 3,571 (US $259) respectively.
