837 Ukrainian law enforcers died during the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine, informed spokesman of the NSDC Information-Analytical Center Andriy Lysenko.
“According to the official data, as of September 4, 837 Ukrainian soldiers died and 3,044 were wounded since the beginning of the ATO,” he said at a briefing, adding that this is the number without including casualties during the withdrawal of troops from Ilovaysk.
The numbers will be revised once the operation of withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Ilovaysk is completed, according to Lysenko.
As Capital reported, on August 24, NSDC reported that 722 soldiers died and 2,625 were injured in the ATO.
