Foreign exchange marketIMF Technical Mission came to Ukraine
The Technical Mission of the International Monetary Fund has arrived in Ukraine for reforming of the foreign exchange market, informed NBU Governor Valeriya Hontareva at a round table.
«We are involved in the program of the IMF and that is why the mission which I called has specially arrived, headed by Gueorguiev,» she said.
Hontareva noted that she is planning to discuss together with the representatives of the mission the issue of creating the institute of market makers, which the largest banks will become.
As Capital reported, on September 4, Ukraine has received the second tranche from IMF in the amount of US $1.4 bn under the Stand-By Arrangement.

Долги Украины перед внешними и внутренними кредиторами в общей сложности уже почти в пять с половиной раз превышают размер золотовалютных запасов страны. Дефолт по внешним обязательствам в данный момент Киеву не грозит, хотя недавние слухи о переговорах с международными кредиторами о переносе погашения некоторых украинских ценных бумаг на более поздние сроки, вероятно, имели под собой основания.
