In 2020, Ukraine will apply to the European Union for membership, announced President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the Judicial Conference.
“I will be speaking for four hours before the high audience, the whole Ukraine, presenting my new program and my vision of the reform program Strategy 2020. The Strategy 2020 provides 60 reforms, special programs which will be implemented by Ukraine to apply for EU membership,” said Poroshenko.
As a reminder, on June 27, 2014 the President signed the economic part of the Association Agreement with the EU in Brussels. At that, he expressed hope for obtaining EU membership. On September 16 Ukraine and the European Parliament ratified the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
