President Petro Poroshenko has assured that the laws adopted on September 16 on Donbas do not grant the special status to the territory.
The law is on special regime of the local self-government in Donbas and the central government does not delegate any other authority and sovereignty to the oblast, he explained at a press conference. Speaking about the special regime of the self-government, Poroshenko emphasized that it is the part of decentralization reforms.
“The prosecutors will be appointed in accordance with the Law on Prosecutor’s Office. No problems. The same thing is about police – the country police will act in accordance with the Ukrainian law,” specified Poroshenko.
He also said that Ukraine will preserve its integrity and any enclave like Transnistria will not appear on the territory of the country.
