In spring 2015, Ukraine may be in condition of technical default, Director of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting of Ukraine Oleksandr Honcharov said at a round table on the topic If Ukraine Avoids Default Next Year.
“Our government, especially NBU, stopped managing the expectations of business and people. The discount rate increased from 6.5% to 14% in Ukraine. Now the market is swamped with business for sale. There is no work as there are no customers. Maximum in spring we will be in condition of technical default,” said Honcharov.
Ukraine is in a difficult situation this year, according to Honcharov, as ForUm reported.
