Import of goods from Russia to Ukraine dropped 50% during January-November 2014, Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Anatoliy Makarenko said at a briefing.
At that, the customs service announced increase of export of goods to the European Union by 5%, according to Makarenko.
“During the period of January-November 2014, the volumes of taxable import decreased by 20%, according to dollar value. The reduction of import from Russia amounted to 50%, exports to Russia fell by 32%,” he said.
At that, during the corresponding period exports to the CIS countries decreased by 31%, exports to the Asian countries – by 8%, according to Makarenko.
Imports from EU to Ukraine, however, decreased 22%, from CIS – 42%.
“Noteworthy, imports from Belarus increased by 12%,” he added.
