Foreign exchange marketCabinet gave permission to all companies to import energy resources
The Cabinet of Ministers allowed all companies to import energy resources into Ukraine, Premier Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated in a live TV broadcast to the Ukrainian people.
As Capital reported, earlier there was a shortage of power in the United Energy Systems of Ukraine due to the combat actions in the Donbas region, which led to a decrease in coal output and problems with its transport to thermal power plants. Due to the imbalance between consumption and production energy Ukrenergo began introducing schedules of emergency power outages in the country, which reached 6.5 GW during peak time.
