Boeing announced on Monday that Air China has committed to buy 60 of its 737 airplanes, in a deal valued at over $6 billion at current prices, reported MarketWatch.

The deal includes Boeing's Next-Generation 737 and 737 MAX planes. "Our long-standing and productive partnership with Air China dates back to the airline's beginning and we are proud the 737 has been part of their success," said Ihssane Mounir, Boeing's vice president of sales and marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, in northeast Asia. Boeing's stock, a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, was still inactive in premarket trade. It has lost 7.5% this year through Friday, compared with a 7.4% rise in the Dow.
