Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk will visit Germany on January 7-8 to meet with the country's leadership, the premier's spokesperson Olha Lappo has said.
"On January 7-8, Yatseniuk will pay an official visit to Germany," she told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
According to her, on January 7, Yatseniuk will meet with Federal President Joachim Gauck and German Vice Chancellor, Economy and Energy Minister Sigmar Gabriel. On January 8, he is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
According to German government spokesman Steffen Seibert, the talks will begin at 12.00. The negotiations will focus on bilateral relations, relations with Russia and issues related to Ukraine's development, he said.
The Ukrainian prime minister is also expected to meet with German businessmen.
