In 2013/2014 marketing year (July 2014 – June 2014) Ukrainian agrarian companies increased grain exports to 32.4 bn t, which is 42.1% more than in the previous season, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Over the specified period Ukraine exported 9.4 mn t of wheat, 20.1 mn t of corn and 2.5 mn t of barley, according to the press service.
The ministry also informed that the memorandum on mutual understanding between the ministry and grain exporters is expected to be signed in the nearest future. It will regulate interaction between the market players and the ministry in the new 2014/2015 marketing year.
As a reminder, grain crops yield in 2013 amounted to nearly 63 mn t, which is 36.3% more than in the previous year, according to the State Statistics Committee.
