In January-August export of goods exceeded import by US $1.165 bn, reported the State Statistics Service.
Thus, the positive trade balance improved by US $8.489 bn over eight months compared with January-August 2013, when the indicator amounted to US $7.323 bn.
According to the State Statistics Service, export of goods amounted to US $37.679 bn in January-August. At that, it decreased by 6.8% compared with January-August 2013.
Over the reported period, import of goods decreased by 23.5% and reached US $36.513 bn.
As Capital reported, export of goods exceeded import by US $880.4 mn in January-July.
